Education transforms communities one child at a time.

What We Do

Umoja is Kiswahili for unity. Our work is built upon a foundation of people who come together from different faith communities and cultures to respond to the urgent needs of the world’s most vulnerable children.

FEEDING Students

4,190

Orphaned or vulnerable, elementary-aged children receive daily meals and other critical support to keep them in school.
Child-headed households receive additional support.

EDUCATING Students

565

Youth receive tuition support to enable them to access high school education.
After graduation, support continues at trade school or for qualifying students at the college or university level.

Empowering Students

2,160

Children & youth are active in our boys and girls empowerment programs, which serve as guides for children lacking parental guidance.
