Duke Divinity Interns Join Umoja Project

Liz Styron

Kadeisha Kilgore

This May we welcome Kadeisha Kilgore and Elizabeth (Liz) Styron, two Duke Divinity School students who will be working with the Umoja Project in Chulaimbo this summer. They will be supporting the Umoja Project staff by visiting schools, monitoring students and planning activities, such as the annual GET UP retreat for teenaged girls.

Global Interfaith Partnership has enjoyed a long relationship with Duke Divinity School, and in seven years 19 Duke interns have worked with the Umoja Project as part of their seminary experience to discern their call in ministry. In addition, two Kalamazoo College interns have also served the Umoja Project.
